About Us
We are a support group for people living with chronic pain from any condition, injury or diagnosis. Our group was founded in April, 2000 and has been meeting continuously all year around since then. Once a month, we meet to discuss the challenges of living with chronic pain and offer support to each other. At our meetings, we also invite guest speakers to present updates on research and therapies.
Our mission is to provide a safe place where people with chronic pain can support one another, develop friendships, share ideas and thoughts, obtain information about their condition from professionals and each other, and learn coping skills in a nonjudgmental and caring atmosphere.
Our meetings are free and open to anyone living with chronic pain. We meet virtually on the second Friday of the month, from 11:00am to 12:30pm et.
We are affiliated with the US Pain Foundation, which is a national, non-profit organization that offers educational materials, support groups, and advocacy for people living with pain. Our group helps individuals living with chronic pain find connection, hope and inspiration, and is dedicated to raising awareness about issues of living with chronic pain among the healthcare community, policy makers and the public-at-large.
